11/8/10 - This is our "Operation Hot Tub" page.  We are raising money to buy a hot tub for Calvin.  Well, it was a surprise until last week when the delivery guys showed up early - Curt did a great job making a platform and still keeping the secret from the kids!  Cal knew exactly what it was when it arrived! He was so excited, he gave the tub (still in the plastic) a huge hug!  Within a few days, the water was up to temperature and the kids took their first splash!  Thanks to everyone who donated and did fundraising to make this happen - we're still collecting and should be at our goal by Thanksgiving so send in those coins today!

Here are some idea's to get you started...........let us know your idea's and we'll add them to the list!

·         Lemonade stand

·         Babysit or dog walk and donate some of your earnings

·         Do extra chores around the house

·         Make a craft and sell it

·         Have a race and get kids to pay to enter

·         Collect ‘Coins For Cal’ or ‘Dollars For Duchenne’ at a local coffee shop (or at your camp office or at school) - check out the Events tab and see what Shannon did so far

·         Collect coins around your house, in your car, in the sofa

·         Have a cookout at your house and make a carnival and sell tickets

·         Hold an event at your local karate/gymnastics place and have some of the proceeds donated to the ‘Operation Hot Tub’.

·         Participate in a sporting event, like a kids triathlon and get donations – some are already registered for a kids tri on Sept 12th – see link:    http://www.halereservation.org/events_triathlon.html

·         Instead of birthday gifts, have your friends make a donation instead
