Chairs for Charity Event - June 13, 2009 - Topsfield Mass
My name is Jack, and me and my friend Peter made "Dollars for Duchenne" & "Coins for Cal" signs and collected $121 for the Jett Foundation. We stood in front of the Corner Cafe and Bakery, and asked people if they wanted to donate money. It was hard at first, but then everyone was so nice. We even got a $20 and $10 bill! It was really fun, and we're so happy we collected lots of money for boys like our friend Cal.
Later in the morning, when we had to go to a lacrosse tournament, Haley and Ryan took over. They made their own sign "Raise it for Ryan" and did a great job too!
At our event, the High School Art students from Masco sold their painted chairs - some sold for $100! They raised almost $600!
My mom's friend sold her hand-made bags and donated a portion to the Jett Foundation: sadie-designs!
Thank you Beth at the Corner Cafe and Bakery for donating the chairs, and for letting us do our fundraiser at your shop!
